There are places that do wheel repair. From what I've heard, they can restore alloy wheels to near perfect condition -- even bent ones. Check your yellow pages or ask around. If thats not an option, there's always eBay.

How would a warranty help if he ran into a curb and rubbed the wheels?

I'd suggest keeping the scratches there as a reminder to not drive when you're too tired.

My front passenger wheel has all kinds of curb rash on it. It's great - I never worry about scraping it anymore...

Never heard of wheel warranty. Sounds like he'll get his moneys worth though.

You're going to have to take it to a Rim repair shop. There's 2 places that I can refer you to in the Massachusetts area but I don't know where you live. These type of places can repair bends and resurface your rims to get rid of those nasty curb rash. The only thing they can't fix is any structural damage to the rims. It costs about $150 depending on the damage and the size of the rim.

An alloy wheel repair shop should be your next stop.

As for falling asleep at the wheel, try apple juice as you drive. It supposedly works better than coffee. For me, personally, it's snacking. I've done six hour drives powered by nothing but clementine oranges and Fuji apples.

When I used to drive down to DC, I would snack all the time, sip on juice and smoke cigarettes (and I am not a smoker either. I found that it kept me awake when I would feel really sleepy and it quenched my craving for cigarettes...asian smoker blood in me)

No, no, no, no. This was when I was driving my Integra. No one smokes in my TSX and like I said, I'm not a smoker.

a new one on ebay is less than that, just buy an individual new one. it'll be better than a fixed one
