Exel Wheels
Hey everyone. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about Exel wheels. I was looking through their website and they have a lot of great looking wheels for really cheap prices. It has made me wonder if there is anything that I should know about their quality ect. Any info you all have would be very much appreciated.

i dont think quality is that much of an issue but I do believe they weigh a lot maybe even more than the stock wheels.

I bought a set of EXEL Version 7's size 18x7.5 from wheel max and I got screwed. They sent me silver wheels with gold center caps. Then when I tried to explain that to the service dept. what was wrong they just denied that they had gold wheels or centercaps and that it wasn't possible. They said wheelmax couldn't send me silver caps without paying for new ones so I am stuck with this! I don't want to buy new ones because he probobly wont send them to me. He also said that these wheels weigh 21lbs and they don't. My TSX wheels and tires weigh 48lbs a peice and these 18"s were 55lbs with the tire. I know a 235-40-18 inch tire does not weigh 7 lbs more than a 215-50-17".
My advice to you is don't by from WHEELMAX!!

Hopefully you paid with a credit card...if you did, do the following:
Call your CC company in the AM and explain you did not get the correct order and you want to dispute the charges. They will ask you to return the wheels certified return receipt and get them a copy of it. Then they will credit back your account and all you lose is the return charges via UPS for shipping.....
To me that is a little to give up instead of having the wrong or some crap shit on your car! CC companys take no shit for poor service on other companies parts. I have done this before when ordering wheels.... Hope it helps!

What you say makes sense to me but the problem is I bought these wheels a year ago and they have been used for 1000 miles. If I had known that though I would have tried your method. I did learn my lesson though and I won't buy from them again. Thanks for the advice!
