Enkei evo 5 & hub centric ring. help
just put on my enkei evo 5 ( 18 x 7.5) on 225/40 and while local driving i didn't have any problems, or noticed anything different except better gripping from the tires. the only thing i'm worried about is that i'm not running a hub centric ring and i didn't know if it was necessary. i asked the guy at the shop and he said i may not need it. i know the hub centric ring is to help stop shaking and such. well, as i was driving back up to gainesville from fort lauderdale, i think i noticed some shaking or vibrations but i'm concerned that it was only me being paranoid. can anyone help me with what to recognize or signs that i need a hub ring and if so what size. thanks so much and sorry about the grammer i just got in and its 2:32 in the morning.

If that's the case, then I'd always advise the ring simply because each manufacturer's wheels are custom designed to each model (where different) and there's no question of them not being hub centric.
So, I think from a safety POV, it's always better to err on the side of caution rather than risk it.
