Eibach Prosystem
I heard that Eiback has a spring/shock kit for the TSX.
Has anyone heard anything about this kit?

i think this is big....eibach has developed the Pro-Dampers for the TSX. Which means no more $600 Koni. Eibach is a great product and always priced good.

I've had the pro system briefly on my old VW. Decent setup, but I swapped out the shocks for some bilsteins. I just found the eibach shocks to me a slight upgrade from my OEM shocks and was looking for something a little firmer.

I'm leaning towards getting these instead of used A-Specs that I was thinking about before. I like the fact that its low cost and the drop is perfect for my taste. Keep in mind, I'm not looking for something that is adjustable in damper or even height. Just something that is close to stock ride, but makes my baby look nice.

Hmm...I wonder if the Eibach kit would ride stiffer than the aspec suspension. I'm hoping to keep as close to stock ride as possible, but at the same time I think I would like a drop that is a little lower than the aspec kit.
Is the drop the same on the Eibach Pro kit close to the same as the aspec. I know on paper there drops are close to the same, but I'm wondering in reality if they are.
LannyM was is the exact drop on with your aspec?
And Jtso...I think you're running the Eibachs. How many inches is your drop?

A-Spec drop is around 1", maybe a hair more in the back. For some reason, my car seemed higher from the factory than most; I had almost 5 finger gap in front, now I'm at a tight three, so I came down a little more than 1", but most (not all) of the cars at the dealership are a 4 finger gap stock...the Pro Kit is definitely lower than the A-Spec by a noticeable margin.
The Eibachs (both Pro Kit and Sportline) are progressive, meaning softer under initial impact, probably very close to stock, and then they firm up under compression, such as when cornering hard, to a higher spring rate. They need to ultimately have a higher than stock rate because they're giving up 1.6" of travel, and you wouldn't want them bottoming out, so the result is an increased rate...
With a properly matched damper, though, the handling will be much improved, with only a moderate decrease in ride comfort. It won't seem stock, but it certainly wouldn't be unbearable for the average enthusiast, IMO.
But, everyone has their own opinion about what constitutes a comfortable ride. My wife thought the TSX was kinda stiff even stock. It certainly didn't soak up bumps like her Ody, or my buddy's Accord.
BTW, the used A-Spec kit that VB mentioned is mine; it's coming off next month for something more aggressive. My needs for my TSX have changed; I'm not using it to transport my daughter much at all; instead the Ody, with its cargo compartment fully stocked with her stuff, is getting all the daughter transporting duties. And I'm no longer bringing clients out in my TSX, which allows me to pursue something stiffer and more adjustable; have not made a final decision yet......

jtso got a link to some picks of your sportlines on?
On tire-rack if i remember they were cheaper and drop the car more? Also how is this setup with the oem body kit, do you find yourself fearing speedbumps and stuff?

I will most likely pick up the Eiback Pro-System Kit now because I purchased the Rear Ingalls Camber Kit (I wasn't going to if I were to go with the A-Spec). I will let everyone know how it goes with the install and ride quality. It'll most likely happen at the end of March or April sometime.

which one to get...
Hmmm...so now I'm debating which setup to get.
Before I was pretty set on getting the pro line setup, but After seeing Jtso with his street springs, his TL rims are still 17 so I'm assuming the wheel gap will be comparable to that of our 17 rims, i'm liking the way they look. It seems like there is no wheel gap, and no overlap of the wheel fender and the top of the tires which is perfect. So it won't look slammed and riced out as I thought they would.
BUT...then oo7Bondgirl recently posted pics of her pro line setup and they look like a pretty damn good fit also...but then again she's wearing them on 19's.
So, I guess my question is, if I plan on keeping my 17's for a while, which setup will better fit to eliminate wheel gap w/o overlapping?

Jtso's set up is Eibach sportline springs w/ Koni shocks. Total cost is about $800.
The Eibach Pro-System, which uses Pro-Kit springs that would likely sit a bit higher, costs $496.
The Eibach Sport-System uses Sportline springs and would give you lowering that is similar to what JTso has and costs $433.
The Sportline springs/Koni combination, while much more expensive, gives you control over rebound damping and some height adjustment. The Eibach Sport-System and Pro-System have no height or damping adjustment. But, since they are a matched design, should perform well.
So, it depends on your budget and your needs. I don't think any of the 3 set ups will lower your car to the point where the tires tuck under the wheel well.

JTso is running 225/45/17s, which are smaller than stock. If you ran his setup with stock tires you'd have almost no gap.......and, if you really wanted to, you could go another 1/2" lower with the height adjustment on the Koni's.....

In my experience, the Pro-Kit Eibach springs I've had in my 2 300ZXs and in my brother's 240SX did not settle much even after a few years. OTOH, my friend had a set of H&Rs in his MR2 and that car got noticeably lower after just a couple of years.

I spend 2 much time here
i currently have the pro kit and koni set up. does anyone know whether going 1/2 lower the the koni perch adjustment would change the way the car rides, as far as comfort goes?

Well, I just ordered the Eibach Pro-System Kit from Tirerack. Its on special order, so I'm going to give them a call later today to see how long this would take. I'm not in a rush, but I hope its not longer than a couple weeks.
