Dunlop SP 9000

Does anyone know the weight of the SP9000 in the TSX stock size? Iread somewhere that they are very light (lighter than the Toyo T1-S)...

Thanks

they are pretty light..but as a trend the t1-s are lighter. You really need to get specifics on each individual tire.(toyo's site lists weight, you'll have to call dunlop) They are pretty decent tires, but the s03s, pzero nero, t1-s are supposed to all have better grip....

Yeah I have to agree. the toyo t1-s and pirelli pzero nero are my favorite summer tires right now. Followed by the bridgestone potenza s03 and then the dunlop sp9000.

I mean the toyo is 21lb and the pirelli is 22lb. I'd be pretty amazed if the dunlop was 20 pounds. I'd call and ask for ya, but it's sunday

Here is some info I picked up from the miata.net

Tire Size: 205/45/16

T1-S: 18.1lbs
P-Zero A: 18.7lbs
Dunlop SP-9000: 17.8lbs

I guess the weight ratio may be different when using 17" but it seems that the Dunlop are a bit lighter...

Best Regards

Here's the info I got from Tirerack, as Dunlop had no contact #, and their email response time said 1-2 weeks

Dunlop SP Sport 9000

215/50/17 WR= 26.0Lb
225/45/17 ZR = 23.6Lb

Basically, the same size tire as stock is the same weight as the stock Michellin at 26 pounds.

Great tire, just not the lightest and there are a few better performers, imo.
