dump the 18's and go back to the OEM 17's?

So I have 18x8 wheels with +45 offset and 225/40/18 tires.. and i'm looking for a smoother ride. What would you guys recommend i do? Go up in sidewall to a 225/45/18? Or should i just go back to my OEM 17" wheels and get the standard 215/50/17's?

BTW i'm lowered on Neuspeed Supercup Kit at 1 notch below middle. If i go to 225/45/18.. think it'll rub?

wheel change wont do much. Its your suspension that is the culprit. That said - more rubber on teh road would soften it a bit

sport.

I just adjusted the settings to softest and already it feels a lot better. It felt like the wheels were too "clunky" or something before. It didn't feel right over bumps and cracks and i basically FELT every little variation in the road. It felt very disconnected.

I think it's a combination of the shock/spring settings and the wheel's size and weight and the tire's aspect ratio. Anyways.. i'm gonna go with 225/45/18 and try to get a little bit of a smoother ride.

Worth a shot but I don't foresee you feeling any difference. If any, most likely it will be psychological. After I lowered my car and went with 18" summer tires I was really surprised that I didn't notice any increase in comfort when I went back to my 16" stock wheels for the winter.

I was really thinking of getting the Neuspeed supercup kit with the sport springs. How does it ride compared to stock? I am suprised that you say its unconfortable
