DIY wheel repair

Well, since I put on my aftermarket wheels last week, I have my set of OEM wheels in the garage.. the wheels have some curb damages, and today I went to Kragen and bought a bunch of stuff, trying to repair them:

- paint thinner
- Dupli color silver wheel paint
- Dupli color scratch filler primer
- Dupli color wheel clear coat
- Bondo spot putty
- 3M 200 and 400 grit sand paper

The results are great! I followed the guidelines from this website:

http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/w...uff-repair.htm

will post some before and after pics after the clearcoat dries.
Also, to those who are attending the NorCal TSX meet, this is something I could possibly contribute to anyone who needs the service.

I refinished a set of Integra rims for my Civic when I had it. I used some paint stripper, a pressure washer, and some elbow grease to remove the clearcoat; then, I polished them up with Mother's wheel polish and a polishing wheel; and finally, applied a few coats of Dupli-Color wheel clearcoat. The result was pretty good and probably would have been better had I put a thicker coat of clearcoat on in the end.

Did you ever fix your OEM rims? I think you told me at the meet that you had completely fixed your OEM rims.
