Could this be ___The_One___?
Ever since we got the PWP TSX, we've been looking for the "right" rims. Wiffey spec'ed that she wanted 3-spoke white, just like a Hot Wheels cars. (Never mind the weight. )
So here's something that's popping up on Ebay tonight (except that they're silver, but the # of spokes is about right) --

Feedback? Advice? You know how dam' hard it is to find ANYTHING in three-spokes, unless it's for a motorcycle or racing bike?
Would this set look ultra lame on a TSX?
Thanks for any and all comments!!

but i think 3 spoke rims are ugly...i wouldnt get them
From a practicality standpoint, if I get these and screw up one, I've got to toss all 4. It's not like there's a giant parts bin of unused rims waiting.
Plus, 3-spokes just don't seem like they'd keep their "roundness" as well as something with more contact points. Or if they did, they'd have to be overengineered to the point they'd weigh 40# apiece.
Well, wiffey didn't like the JDM rim set with Potenzas that zazen721 got... and those 4 rims (which are replaceable) plus premium fresh rubber cost less than this set of 4 used, naked rims.
But I'm also thinking that if we don't get something soon, it's just going to slide to next summer. And by then, maybe, we won't be putting more into the car.

3 spoke is uhhh... very JDM. might be cool, but hella ugly. there's a SC300 here with JDM 3 spoke black wheels with a blue lip. Freakiest wheels I've ever seen, sounds like the white 3 spoke ones you want. IMO 5 spokes or greater

These rims hurt my eyes!
I'll quote someone here last year who answered someone who was asking about replacing his OEM 17" with 16":
"If you do this, I'm gonna hunt you down and kill you for putting those on!!"

Appreciate all the comments so far!
I've seen some really beautiful rims in the members' gallery. I _think_ wiffey would like some of those, particularly the various thin-spoke with polished rim looks. Unfortunately, she's in Vancouver at the moment, sans car, for my mother-in-law's funeral. (You Vancouver TSXers could freak out this nice Chinese lady by staging an impromptu TSX meet at the Flamingo Restaurant, 60th and Cambie, this weekend or next.
Back to the rims. She was really thinking massive-style spokes, not delicate and slender. Think of a Hot Wheels toy car. And if not white, she was talking chrome, which is to say, probably just polished. (At least she knows where she's going for the look. Not my choices, but then, even though I paid for it, Not My Car. )
