Chrome vs. Silver Wheels?

I am going to be putting the 19" RDX A-Spec wheels (Just like TSX A-Spec, but bigger) on my wifes 2006 carbon grey pearl TSX, but cannot decide between the silver sparkle or chrome look.

My wife is scared the silver wheels will look funny because the rest of the car has chrome accents all over. I am leaning toward silver because it would look more stock and all the nice cars (BMW, Mercedes, etc) don't even offer chrome anymore.

What is everybody's thoughts?

Silver>chrome. IMO chrome is kind of tacky and too much chrome on the car is a bad thing.

Decided on sliver. Ordered the wheels, Goodyear 235/35/19 tires, and Comptech springs today. I have not seen anybody put the RDX wheels on a TSX yet, so I will post pictures when it is done in a week or two.

Still curious on chrome vs. silver opinions though...

Thanks.

chrome is more labor intensive in general, in winter; road salt can pit the chrome.

Silver looks much better than chrome. Chrome is incredibly tacky and makes you look like a ghetto jackass. Avoid chrome wheels. Chrome accents are fine though, as long as you don't go overboard.

I have really been paying attention lately and chrome really is pretty ghetto now. Almost every car I see with chrome are like barely running 1980's Buicks, soccer mom SUVS, or completely over the top cars with chrome accessories everywhere and a wannabe gangster driving it.

I have seen a couple nice looking chrome setups, but silver is the safe bet. Thanks.

I've seen a few luxury cars with chrome wheels (e.g. BMW, Mercedes, Lexus) around here, and it makes a nice car look like . Even a good looking occupant comes off like with chrome wheels. You made the right choice.

I would go with Silver too, but I have seen some with chrome that looked pretty good. I guess it's more of the pattern for a chrome to look good on the car?

Chrome looks tacky in my opinion. Like said above tsx's dont look good with chrome wheels.

Stick with silver or even gunmetal since ur car is gray.
