Center Caps on 2006 Wheels

So my wife is at the dealer getting the center cap replaced. they are saying it's an aluminum center cap for $37. i see on the accessories page of the store that the chrome emblem caps are $46.80 for a set of 4.

does this make sense to anyone? am i the only one confused here?

it's kinda ugly and dirty without them. i didn't see them on ebay. and no, that wasn't for labor. they are supposedly two different things. the ones the come with the car are glorified plastic. the chrome center caps, supposedly you need different wheels to use them. i don't really get it at all.

either way, we didn't pay for it, sam's club lost it when they rotated my tires, so they gave us the money for it.

i believe that the chrome emblem caps are JUST an emblem that would be stuck into the aluminum center cap (where the black A is).

final product would be aluminum center cap with chrome A instead of black.

ahhhhh....that could make sense why they are cheaper for a set of 4. but still, the dealer said something about how they didn't go on the OEM wheels, they were for the other wheels they sell. so i figured it was if you bought a different set of chrome wheels for acura. i dunno. deal is done now and sam's club paid for the replacement, so nothing lost.
