Castle nut on upper control arm help

So I recently bought a new suspension for my 06 tsx and wanted to take my old suspension coilovers out and have run into a problem, the castle nut on my upper control arm won’t come out, I removed the cotter pin and loosened the nut but it just turns and won’t come out. I cannot fit an air impact under it and I’ve been just using hand tools while hitting it with some pb blaster but it’s been of no use. The old coilover is too long to slip out of the fork. I’ve added a picture for reference

Why are you removing that? You're going to run into issues. The spindle is going to fall outward and stretch the brake lines/abs sensor lines...and will likely seperate the axle, and you'll be fighting that the whole time.

If you want to take the UCA off anyway....Your ball joint stud is spinning. You can grab the non threaded stud portion with needle nose vise grips.

You'll probably need new boots after that though.

Or....just remove the bolts at the chassis.

BUT...again...

I would just leave the UCA alone.

Take the fork off the bottom of the shock first.

See if this helps. See the first slides in step 1:

BTW, your PM inbox is full. I'm not sure which tophat spacer you're referring to.

like oh boy said use needle nose vise grips to hold right above but be careful not to ruin the thread I had to learn the hard way and had to replace the control arm and upper ball joint
