Any problem going to a 17x7 with 38 offset?
I saw some rims I really liked and they're 17x7 with an offset of 38. I read the sticky at the top of this forum and it said that the OEM rims have an offset of 55 and that the general rule was the higher the offset the better.
So is a 38 offset going to create any problems? I also used the calculator in that thread and it said my rims would stick out 17mm more. Is that too much?
Any other problems by decreasing the offset (ride, handling, etc)?
I know NOTHING about aftermarket rims, so please help. Thanks.
Oh, and here is a pic of the rims:

Did you drop your car at all?
You shouldn't have a problem with rubbing unless you lowered it but it might look a little funky. If you lower your car the wheels will appear to be more inside the wheel well but then you *might* have rubbing (although probably not unless you really slam it). It shouldn't cause you any problems though.

I haven't even gotten the car yet...I'm getting an 06 and I'm just looking for other options besides the OEM rims which don't look all that appealing in pics. I doubt I'll be lowering it, but you never know.
Won't the wheels stick out more with a 38 offset vs. the 55 offset of the OEM rims. I would think that having the wheels stick out a little more might look better, no?
