Accord euro with 19x8 offset 35 ???

hi,

I'm a newbie here and based in melbourne Australia

I imported a set of 19x8 Lowenhart LDR Replica for a friend of mine
I ordered offset of +45 front and rear

and when it arrived today, I found out the offset is +35 front and rear !! =( =(

now..can he get away with +35 offset??
I know it will stick out of the fender..but how bad it will be?

Is he still able to lower the car? how many inch?

any quick reply will be appreciated

Thanks

That wheel will stick out 1.29" farther than than stock. I don't recommend using them.

They're going to protrude from fenders so they will rub. Couldn't he look at selling them locally?

You ordered 45mm offset and they delivered 35mm offset. To almost everyone, the company where you ordered the wheels from made the mistake. They should take them back and send you the correct ones with no extra charge.

Oh...and 35mm is too much for 19x8 on 235/35/19. Don't do it.

got the rims fitted today, the front did stick out of the fender but not much..maybe not even 1" (and it is not lowered yet)
the rear looks ok to me

now..I put 215/35/19 on the rims (19x8)...they are under load..but do you think it should be ok for daily driving? I'm not very sure about tyres load and stuff

the reason I put 215/35/18 is so that he can lower it with no problem, 235 is definitely too wide because the rims stick out a bit and 225 was not available

let me know

This post gets bad to worst. What are the full specs of the tyres - ie what is the load rating?

+35 is a bad idea even if it fits. You are going to put heaps of stress on the drivetrain, wheel bearings and suspension components - especially with heavy 19" rims.

I don't know the load rating, but the tyres shop did remind us that it is under load rating but he said it should not really be a problem

I guess the best tyres should be 225/35/19

anyway so far so good...+35 is not really that bad actually, I just saw a friend of mine euro with 19x8 in front and +35 or +38 offset - lowered and it still looks ok

with +35 offset, the rear is definitely ok, only the front tuck out of the fender by about not even half a inch

The wheels were bought from overseas, we could not return them so we just put put them on anyway

do you guys think 215/35/19 on 19x8 is still ok?
The tyres are nankang sport or something, maybe that helps

How it looks is not the issue - +35 is too far away from stock. Like I said it creates stress. It may look like it fits fine but that is not the problem.

In terms of tyres being under load - it was not appropriate for the tyre shop to fit anything under load. In Australia the load rating for the Euro must be above 91. It states the load rating on the tyre. If you have anything less than 91 the car is not roadworthy and the insurance may not pay out if there is a claim. Under load tyres are just not worth it. You may have heard of blitzs recently on Chapel Street? The number one defect was bald or under load tyres. Make sure your friend knows his car will not be roadworthy.
