235/40/18 +45 w/ A-Spec suspension?

After three+ months, my rims are finally coming in next week. I need to order tires now. The rims are 18x8 +45, and I have an A-Spec drop. Ideally, I will run a 235 tire, because living in CT with our shitty roads, I want to protect my rims as much as I can.

Question: Will this rub? I doubt it since A-Spec is not very low, but I want to get some impressions (and ideally, personal accounts of people running 235/40/18 on A-Spec) before dropping bank on my tires.

The rims are Advan Kreuzer X's, for anyone curious.

And while I'm at it, any specific tire reccomendations? I'm going for an all-season and am presently set on the P-Zero Nero M+S.

Thanks for any input!

I have 225/40 no the 235 but i think you'll be ok. The aspec even on our 06-07's lowers a little more but you don't need to worry about the rear (where the apsec kit lowers more) and the front sits a little higher. you'll be fine, don't worry about it but i figure some one has to have that setup will reassure you

I have the exact set up you are talking about. You won't have any problems rubbing at all.

The Pirelli's are excellent UHP all-season tires... For other solid options IMO, you can also look into the Toyo Proxes 4, Falken Ziex 912 (replacement for 512), and Kumho ASX. The Falkens and Kumhos are cheaper than the PZero's (the Toyos may be a tad lower), and also provide comparable performance and treadwear.

My rims will be in next week, and I've got my tires on hold at a local place. Four P-Zero Nero's 235/40/18, mounted + balanced, for $700+tax. Not bad, I think!

Thanks for the input all. Will be posting a pics thread once I have my new shoes on the ride.
