19x8.5 45 offset ???

What should I do. I really like the wheels but dont know if I will rub. I dont want to run negative camber. I Love the look of these wheels and will get them if they fit.

19 x 8.5 45 offset.

They look a lot like the bbs ch

I am getting these from another company though.

here is what I got using a wheel fitment calculator with 235 35 19 tires

9mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 29mm

Is that too much?

Here is the calculator I used.

Ahhh I see them now. Nice wheels.

with an 8.5 wheel and +45 offset should be fine. If anything, I would suggest running 225 series tires as it may be less likely to rub.

Let's wait for Xizor to chime in. I think he's ran an 18x8 +38 before and look pretty flush.

Not to mention more accurate as far as the speedo and odo are concerned.

I currently run 19x8.5 +43 with 225/35/19

The front rubs often on bumps and dips in the road, I have not rolled or modified the fenders or fender liners in anyway.

Suspension set up is Koni Yellows, Neuspeed Race Springs, and SPC camber kits front and rear.

Thanks for the input. I guess I will not get these then because I will not be able to sleep at night. To bad because these look pretty nice.

no problem, I'm glad I could offer some insight. I am running this fitment so that I can clear my big brake kit without a spacer. I am extremely happy with the way this fitment accomadates the brakes, I may just have to run some negative camber on the front wheels to eliminate the occasional rubbing.

I tried on a set of 19x8.5 45mm rims 235/35/19 tires. The front sticks out bout quarter inch, rear is perfect flush with -1.5 neg. camber. Drop is about 1.55" F and 1.45" R. Had slight rubbing issue in the rear but was easily fixed with a bit more neg. camber. Otherwise, no rubbing up front and I havent rolled any fenders.

So only front rubs?? If I run those in the rear I won't rub right? Or in your exp, the rear didn't rub?? my car rubs a bit when my coils are too soft going over bumps and dips too...

Any pics of your car?? Because I want to run similar set up, or maybe with a 50 offset. I wanna see how low it is...I have no idea how low I lowered my car

If I'm not mistaken, a 235-35-19 tire is more accurate... in fact, almost an exact fit. 225 is undersized (speedo is fast / odo is high), although within acceptable tolerances.

I don't want to tell you that if you go with these specs in the rear that you won't rub at all. However in my experience I have not experienced any noticable rubbing in the rear. I'm sure it might be possible for it to rub under certain condition, but it doesn't seem like it could be common.

sorry bro, i dont have any pictures. for sure, you'll need the camber adjust in the front to dial in more neg camber, otherwise it'll look too pushed out. a body kit is also recommended, it'll give the whole car a more "clean flush" look.

dont you have the konis sitting on neuspeed sport springs? what perch are the springs sitting on? I have Progress Spring 1.3"F & 1.2"R both sitting on my Neuspeed koni 1 perch below the middle perch. It's 0.25" drop per perch down from middle, so my drop is 1.55"F & 1.45"R.

Damn..I wish I can run negative camber, but, don't want to kill my tires. I know people said camber don't kill tires, but tires are money, i need a sponsor..haha

and no, I don't have the Konis, but i do have a body kit tho... I have the Tein SS instead...right now, there's no finger gap from the rims..

Yes, you're quite right.
I thought the TSX ran 225/45x17's as standard - like those of the Type S (and optional) on the Accords here in Europe.
Well spotted.
