19" SSR GT3 Replicas in Hyperblack?
How do you think these would look on a CG? These are actually 18x7.5, but they come in the 19x8 variety as well. Basically, I can't decide if the Hyperblack is "too much" or not.

The wheels are Exel DL-47's. From what I've gathered, Exel is the brand name of WheelMax.com, and the wheels are manufactured by them. Four 19x8 wheels with new tires are going for $1140 shipped right now.

bondgrrrl,
They do look great but seem a little too, well, sporty for the TSX.
They sort of oversell the car's abilities. Wheels that hot say "0-60 in 6.5" not "spirited but relaxed sports sedan".
Just my take. Good luck either way.

I totally understand. I thought they may be a bit too sporty for a sedan the size of the TSX as well. However, I just found some pictures of the real GT3's on a few BMWs and Lexuses (Lexii, perhaps?), and they actually look great. They don't stick out at all. Plus, I think the Hyperblack will look very clean with Carbon Grey. After seeing these pictures, I think my mind is made up...

not bad..they also look like the eurostar s-05s which i like.
I'm still waiting on rotas to become available again.. I'd only be worried that the spokes might look a little too "airy" on the larger tsx. Might makes the wheels look even smaller...dunno. Someone want to photoshop?

I'm still looking at those SSR Compy's in 18x8. I just need to triple check the fitment and wait for the price to go down (which it may not).
I'm also liking the OZ Superleggeras, but I don't think they come in a big enough offset for 8" rims.

I don't think I'm going to have any luck finding a bargain on those.

Just wait until tomorrow morning...the worry begins (a.k.a. buyer's remorse).

LOL, even though I actually didn't use the *real* plastic this time (debit), I still started freaking out at about 3 a.m. I started thinking about all the food and new clothes and stuff for my apartment I could buy...and then I realized that I could basically pay for an entire semester of college with the money I just spent on 3 things for my car!
However, I'm sure all will be well when everything is installed in a couple weeks or so.
I went with the usual Kumho 712 tires this time, but I may upgrade to some Yokohamas or Toyos in the future.

Let us know how your dealings with wheelmax.com go, were they quick on shipping and good with customer service? Did everything come timely and were the rims good quality?

Yeah, almost everyone I know who has upgraded tires rides on Kumhos. I had them on my VR-4 as well. They are very nice tires for the money.
My total with wheels/tires, mounted, balanced, and shipped came to $1200 even. I have heard that during sales WheelMax can be a little slow to ship. It'll probably be two weeks or more before I have everything on. I'm having everything shipped to my parent's home which is 3 hours away. We are playing Alabama this Saturday and Arkansas the next, so it will be two weekends from now before I even consider going home and having everything installed.
