16inch wheels to hit the track on????

Ok I swear the Base RSX came with blacks and hub caps but everyone at clubrsx says they all had the alloys just like the type S. So this is what I am looking for a car that has the same bolt pattern as the TSX with black steelies. Anyone know of such a beast? I just spent a ton of money on 19inch volks and tires so I am not going to buy another set of those or something like that. I just want something cheap and light that I can use to hit the track for some practice runs. Someone help me!!

I think the RSXers know best. All RSXs came w/ the same wheels, 16in alloys (until 2005). They should be around $200 for 4 wheels, there's years worth of on the market, although ebay doesn't have much. You can also find 2003-2004 Civic Si EP3 wheels, or the many wheel options on the current Accord. EP3 wheels are hard to find, and Accord wheels aren't too cheap.

I just found this page: http://www.acura.ca/AcuraEng/Models/...ifications.htm

They show them as 15" x 6"

I guess the 16's were alloys.

Maybe the 16's from the Odyssey would work.

They're the right bolt pattern and they're 16x7 but I don't know what the offset would be. It might not matter because I don't think rubbing will be an issue at the track. It's probably going to be in the +35 to +40 range anyway.

Edit: The 2005 Odyssey has a 5x120mm bolt pattern so they won't work. The previous generation steelies have the right 5x114.3mm pattern.

Go to a salvage yard and get a set of wheels of a newer Accord or Acura- a set of 16" in good shape will be around $200. Maybe a little more then steelies but there are a few added benefits, first of all they will fit properly around the hub and will not require new lugnuts, secondly they won't look like dump on the car and lastly you'll have less rotational mass then the same size steel wheels which equates to more real world power.

will 15in steelies clear the calipers? I'd say play it safe w/ 16in alloys, you want to put some wide rubber on them.

16" wheels have about 10 RCH clearance on the front calipers, there is no way 15's will clear the front calipers. So, yes 16" alloys are better then 15" steelies.

I mentioned that the current Accord LX V6 has 16" steelies with covers that are 5-lugs.

I have steelies that fit the tsx as my snow rims. I got them from the honda dealer. you have to ask for the steel rims for the V6 accord, the ones for the 4cylinder are 15" but the V6 has 16". It took me a while to figure this out during the winter and I had to go to two different honda dealers to get a set of four but they each cost me 35 so it didnt cost me much at all for them.

You're going to use steelies for track? Why not invest into a set of Prelude SH rims or the newer Accord rims? They all fit well, plus I use those SH rims to track and winter!!!

Buy a set of steel wheels with tires from Tire Rack. I bought 16" steel wheels and snow tires from there that fit perfectly

If I remember correctly, the wheels were $40 or so...
