WC TC Round 4 @ Mid-Ohio

Realtime did it again. Pierre and Peter brought the TSX's to 1 and 3 finishes. I'm starting to worry if SCCA will penalize the TSX's with restrictor or additional weight. Hope not. Anyways, the top 3 are

1. Pierre Kleinubing, TSX
2. Bob Stretch, BMW 325
4. Peter Cunningham, TSX

Realtime TSX

So, I know I just posted but...

I went ahead and put up a few of the TSX pics. Gallery here.

I took over 270 pictures of the Speed WC GT and Touring, Formula BMW, Star Mazda, Cooper Tire Championship and ALMS race, so it will take awhile to weed through them all.

Awesome pics moda_way! Were you able to get there with just the paddock pass, or do you have more 'connections'?

Well, at that point when the pics were taken anyone with a paddock pass could've gotten a shot with them, but I was there VERY early on race day (was on Nick's crew list) and watched all the cars getting prep'd.

I actually just met the niece of one of the crew chiefs for RTR. She said we could come down to the track when they're here in Portland , but I'm not going to be here. Bummer.

They're all really cool. PD especially took the time to talk with everyone. Since Pierre won, his car was in Tech. Spec. for a long time, so I never got to get a pic with him and his car. Funny thing was, he got out of his racing suit pretty quickly, so hardly anyone even recognized him with his hat on.

I saw it this afternoon. The start was pretty crazy. 5 cars out at the first turn.

I filmed it from turn 1 with my S500, so it isn't clear, but it looked a lot worse in person. The sound was freaky.

It was pretty amazing to walk around the pits early in the morning watching the cars get prep'd. I personally never would've thought watching a race in person would be that great b/c you miss 90% of the track (at least at Mid-Ohio), but it was incredible. We sat in a turn called Madness... the one where Pete goes off road at the Mid-Ohio race... it is at the end of a long straight away and let's just say, I heard every "blip" of the down-shifts. Completely the best experience.

I play that course on Xbox all the time and it simply ROCKS. Wish I weren't at the other end of the U.S. b/c it would be so sweet to watch a race there. It would be even better to take our cars through that drop. Never experienced negative Gs in a car before.

Laguna Seca is one of my favorite tracks in Gran Turismo A pretty technical course with very unique layout indeed

Mid-Ohio is a great track in its own right! But yes, there is nothing like the corkscrew at LS Hopefully I can get a spot over there. That back straight setting up for the corkscrew would be fun to watch.

Le Mans cars will be there too for the main event. 4 hour race going into the evening...Should be awesome
