Tips for autocrossing
Hey, I'm going to my first autocross on Sunday and was wondering if anyone has some wisdom to impart.
I'm not sure what to expect as I'm running bone stock w/ the factory tires. But it should be a learning experience.

Get an instructor with you. Look ahead, don't look at the cone right in front of you. Try to be smooth. Remember this for almost all of the turns, "slow in, fast out".
As for preparation, make sure your lug nuts are torqued to factory specs, no leaking fluids, seat belts are in good working condition, brake is good, no cords showing on the tires, battery is tied down properly and tightened, and all loose items must be removed from the car before you run.
Have fun out there!

On our seats, I always measure out exactly the amount of seatbelt I need to reach the buckle, then twist is over several times before I snap it in. This keeps it from playing out and helps to hold you in the seat. Put some extra air in the tires, this will help prevent roll over onto the sidewalls.
