So this video would have you believe that a Civic with a IHE'd k20 is walking an EVO at 22psi?! I don't believe it.

k20 compression ratio too high. it would blow quick.

plus the video says evo 8 at 22psi.

i don't understand why everyone here is so confused.

when i was atching the vid .. didnt seem like the car was "strip down to the Max". that's what got me thinkin that civic couldn't do 13s to be the evo bc the evo does 13s. and it doesnt seem like they were going over 100+ for the k20 to be more efficient since it operate best in the higher rpm unlike the evo. i dont know .. i think that vid is

i agree the hatch didn't looked stripped.

regardless, i still think the hatch can do 13's easily, once again i will go to the fact that my friend who has a full interior, still managed a 13.8 quarter mile time in his b18c powered eg hatch.

so it seems more than likely that this eg with a k20 would be able to do the same.

For the non-believers, do you or have you guys ever driven/sat in an EG with a K20 or B18C5 or B20 VTEC??? If not then please don't make assumtions.
This is becoming like a SRT4 VS WRX VS RSX-S war. sigh. I posted this for you guys to enjoy, not to hate on each other!!!!

btw, Thanks dzuy for understanding!!!

Either way, it's a trailer video. Maybe the Evo wasn't pushing as hard.. maybe it was? In my opinion it wasn't pushing as hard as it could have been, probably the dramatize the civics speed. In any case it's a trailer to get everyone interested in what "hybrid-racing" is all about, and I'm sure you guys can't wait to see them actually race on a strip side by side in their full version.

Everyone tells me a b18 swap on a stripped hatchback is crazy, I can believe it... but against a Evo running 22 Psi of boost??? I'd just like to see it race against that turboed NSX

My friend Jeramy's EG runs 13.03. Here's the proof.

Funny how the Civic had no license plate.

The Civic ISNT stock, the engine is hooked up. Go to www.hybrid-racing.com and look at the other video's they show the eninge. It is hooked up, the car is light, it has a carbon fiber hood, no back seats, and other stuff, now no more fighting.

BTW if you were wondering what engine it has, its a Type-S engine.

I want a 1992 Honda Civic HB, I saw one in Super Street, making 590 ponies, plus it was turbo'ed. I can't wait till I get my sleeper.
