Just curious question

Whats up guys. I had a 06 TSX (a great car) but needed something a little bigger for the family so I bought a 07 TLS. My question is I had a 09 TSX run up on me today and wanted to get busy at the light. I handed him his a** at the next light but I really like the looks of the car. Do these run much faster than the previous model? I have a friend who was with me looking to get one. Thanks!

The new ones don't run any faster than the old ones. With a few mods, the TSX will keep up with the TL-S though.

Which mods do you think would do the job? BAsic bolt ons or something more serious?

No, they are slightly heavier and HP was transformed into lower TQ. They are slow and for the moment there is no hope for them.

ummmm.... yea...... "few mods"...... few pricey mods. Such as octane 100 fuel, completely stripped interior and trunk, DC5-R tranny with LSD and its short gears, full bolt-ons and tune.

-OR-

BOOST+ tune.

I beg to differ. TL is a heavy car. I think, with exhaust, header, high flow cat, intake, tb spacer, + grippy tires it will keep up with a tl-s just fine.

the v-6 model will move like a TL-s but the 4-cyl. 09 is not much faster, if at all, than the 06-08. 07 TL-s > 09 TSX all day long

You have to be kidding. An '09 TSX 6MT weighs 3385 lbs and a TL-S 6MT comes in at around 200 lbs heavier with an extra 85 horsepower. One is a mid 15 second car at 91 mph and the other is a low 14 second car at 100 mph. It's gonna take a hell of a lot more than an intake and exhaust mods to bridge that gap.
