Just wondering if anyone has gone out with their TSX to a HPDE or track event?

I'd like to know what your experience was like in a TSX.

I have been trying to see if any of my friends will join me for some time at mid-ohio this summer or perhaps early fall. SO far no go. The acura performance driving school prices are quite a bit of money - I had no idea they were as much as they are. I would love to go though if I had someone to tag along.

Didn't know acura had performance driving schools.

Mid-Ohio has one and a buddy took the course as a company event. Enjoyed it a ton.

I'm a pretty avid open track / HPDE guy. When I first got the TSX, I took it out about 5 times. Posted here a few times, but I don't think the pictures/videos work anymore.

I've since moved onto an SRT-4 as my track car. I still have the TSX, but don't take it to the track anymore. SRT-4 is much faster and cheaper, so no worries about banging it up on the track.

In comparison to the TSX, the TSX has much better steering feel and balance. The SRT-4 is much more numb, even with the track suspension I have. Of course, the TSX lacks the power and brakes, but no matter...

Anyway, I don't know where you are, but if you're in Northern california you can find me in HPDE4 or other clubs' open passing groups!

I went the last weekend and about 3 weeks ago, and while I'm limited by the stock tires, it's been a lot of fun. I've had instructors ride with me too which has helped me out a lot. There's gonna be a tsx at the next one so we'll see how mine compares

I've taken my stock TSX to PIR for a day. TSX in stock form is down in power but it holds its own in corners. Stock tires = understeer Brakes were fading after a few sessions, the TSX is a pretty heavy car. I'll be going back to PIR in August with my SC TSX with upgraded hawk hps pads and RB Rotors.

Depending on your driving style and the track, I would think that the HPS will fade as well. You'll need a minimum HP Plus pads. I've taken my TSX to Streets of Willow, Buttonwillow, Calif. Speedway, & Laguna Seca, and I experienced brake fade with HPS very quickly on all occassions. Since I'm very aggressive on the brakes, I wouldn't even consider HP Plus for myself. I would go with Hawk Blue racing pads if I track my TSX more often.

I'd use Carbotech pads before using Hawk blue. Hawk Blue definitely not for cars that driven even remotely on the street. Carbotech pads will outperform the hawk blue anyway.

I'm in NorCal as well. If I do see you, I'll more likely be in my RSX. lol
