Weird, really weird rattle situation
Two days ago, I noticed a strange rattling sound coming from (I think) the area under the navigation screen on my '06 Royal Blue Pearl. But the weird part is that it is only on my way home; I never notice it on my way to school. Then the really really weird part is that about twenty minutes into my ride home on BOTH days, the noise went away and I didn't notice it even when I was going over some rough roads. Anyone know what's going on?
Also, sometimes when I brake, especially when the AC is on, it feels like something is grinding or kind of like a clicking feel when I push the brake pedal...I heard that was normal but I'm just checking...
I also noticed a rattling sound coming from the passenger seat area, and when I buckled the passenger seat belt in, the noise went away so that might help some of you guys who hear that rattling.
One last thing: I'm sure it's normal for the engine to sound like it is growling at low speeds, especially when I'm just starting out a trip, but I'm just making sure with you guys.
Thanks.

Do you have a drink in your cup holder or something else in the center-console storage on the way home most days?
How low speeds? Do you drive an MT? If so it will be noisy when loaded and running under 1k rpm or so (this is called "lugging" the engine and you should not do it).

Rattle trap. Turn up the volume.
It will be something different tomorrow. Some is temp/humidity sensitive. Wipe silicone everywhere (thats what the dealers do).
Sometimes it is the visor. Press the visor or others suspect part while rattling, squeeking, buzzing, etc.

No cup in cupholder, nothing in the two areas under the Navi screen, Automatic Transmission...I think the problem is because there is a gap in between the little flip-storage space under the radio controls and the leather to the left and right...maybe if I slip something in there it will stop

I have a rattle coming from the storage compartment below the radio too. If i tap my finger inside that compartment, it makes the noise. I'm not sure how to get in there to fix it, maybe get in from the "NOT AN ASHTRAY" compartment?
