Water spots, water spots, water spots
They're soooo annoying its been raining nonstop and every day I've had to go out and dry my car with a towel. Anyone know anything that can resist light level water spots? I recently got my car about less than a month ago and i've seen from family experience what un-treated water spots can do to a cars paints especially cars before 2010

Is it waxed? If so, maybe try a different type (I like Colonite Insulator Wax)
Maybe the difference you're seeing is due to the cars being different colors (spots are there, just not showing up). I don't think there was any big paint change in 2010.

Yeah, I agree...
I mean, water spots stem from hard water drying and leaving a residue...OR dirt on the car pooling when it rains and then drying and leaving the ring of where it sat.
Ever notice how a well waxed car that is clean getting rained on usually don't dry with spots?
What you're likely talking about is etching caused by the hard water residue.
What you could do is do a mild polish by hand or machine...so you erase them, then coat the car with a polymer based protectant like the collinite or wolfgang. It lasts for about 6 months and helps protect your clear coat.
Trust me, a 2009 can look as good as a 2016.
