TSX 04 shaking when accelerating
Had the dealer do my 110,000 maintenance, and they recommended that I change the front passenger lower control arm because one of the bushings was cracked. Well, I didn't want to pay them $500+ to do it, when I could order the parts for $150 and do it myself with my father-in-law (which in hindsight, might have been the smarter choice).
So, we replaced the following parts: both lower control arms, stabilizer bar links, lower ball joints, and 4 tires.
It feels like the whole car is shaking when I accelerate. It stops as soon as I engage the clutch, or let off the gas pedal. Had alignment done, and it seemed like the shaking decreased to 90%. A mechanic recommended new tires and balance (which I needed to do anyway), which seemed to reduce the effect a little bit more. I'm ready to take it apart again to see if we can determine what might be causing the vibration.
We're at a loss as to what would be contributing to this problem, and I was hoping someone might have an answer.

I have the same acceleration vibration problem with my 04 TSP 6spd with 121k. Here are some other posts I found searching the site. It looks like this has been pretty well addressed in the past. I'm sure I'll be ordering a couple new axles and a carrier bearing. I need to get my clutch replaced anyway (bad throw-out bearing), so it would be smart for me to get all of this fixed while it's apart.

I have 05 6MT. I am the original owner and babied my TSX. about passing 95kkm, i had vibration from 90 ~ 110 km/h. but anywhere off this range, no vib. I took it to the dealer and they tried everything, allignment, tire rotation/balance, stabl.bar...
but it came down to the front axles. now it feels just fine. good luck on your issue and hope it resolves soon..
