think i might have a clutch problem
car has 84k. clutch is a stock one and it get real hard to press 3/4 of the way down to the floor. clutch starts to disengage super low i dont even think the pedal is off the carpet yet and it starts to move. i also have s2000 and the clutch is way harder then the one in that car. my mom cant even get the clutch in on the tsx and has been driving stick for 40 years any help?
Could be fluid, but I doubt it. We just did the clutch on my sister's Civic a few week. Exact same symptoms. What it wound up being was a spring in the pressure plate popped which didn't allow it to completely disengage. On a flat surface with the clutch all the way in, the car would actually move in first gear. Unfortunately, we could only get a complete clutch kit for it (even with all of Dad's dealership/parts house/CFADA/ASE community connections.) Couple hundred bucks for what should have been a $4 spring. Total suck, she really couldn't afford it (but being the good brother I am, I foot the bill.)
If you're talking about the finger springs, how would you have expected to change it even if you could get the part? The pressure plate is all welded shut and if you were to pop it open there would be absolutely no way you could get it back together without the big piece of factory machinery that did it in the first place. When something like that happens, the clutch is shot.
Still to the OP, I'd bleed the clutch and see where that gets you. A half hour of your own labor is certainly worth trying before $1000 dollars worth of some one else's.

If you are performance oriented, now is the time to do a lighweight flywheel. Exedy and Fidanza have correctly sized applications. Most who have it would agree it isn't annoying like rumors about lightweight flywheels. I've had my Fidanza on for nearly eight months and it is great.
