Whenever i push my sunroof liner, the part that covers the sunroof, i hear more crackles and creaks which i think are coming from the sunroof area itself. I am aware that sunroofs make a car less rigid, hence probably the cracking sound. Is it just me or is this normal?

It's normal. I can also duplicate the sound by pressing on the roof to the rear of the sunroof. If you hear creaking sounds when driving, try wiping down the sunroof rubber trim (around the glass especially) with a protectant like Aerospace 303. It will hlpe mitigate the noise, but will need to be reapplied every few months (presumably that will vary depending on weather).
