Soliciting Opinions/Advice: Dome Light Buzz

I have had my TSX (6MT/No Nav) for a little over six months now, and it has been relatively trouble free. However, I have had one problem (minor) since the day I bought it. If the stereo is on, and I open and close the door, there is a mild buzz that comes from the speakers as the interior light fades to off. Stereo off = no buzz.

The dealer has acknowledged the problem, but before I let them tear my car apart, can anyone offer any opinions/advice as to what might be causing this? I would prefer to do this myself if it is not something that is too involved...

I did a search for this issue, but could not locate any posts that addressed this issue.

Thanks in advance!

I think that the bulb coming on is causing a voltage drop which is slightly affecting the stereo's power supply. This should not be happening since the bulb's wattage is very small. Even though the problem causes only a minor annoyance, I would not ignore it as it may indicate a more serious problem with your electric system.

/not an electical engineer but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night
