Radio Error Code E

My battery was dead this morning due to me leaving the interior lights on all night. I now have an error code on the radio display. I mistakingly tried entering the navigation code instead of the audio code. Now I have an error code E and I can no longer enter a valid number.

Any suggestions on how to reset this?

I've seen the methods for other makes by removing the Backup fuse but this has not worked for me. I also do not have preset buttons so using that method to retrieve the serial will not work.

Does anyone have any information pertaining to the 2004 TSX that will help me fix this issue.

Have you tried disconnecting your battery ground, maybe it'll reset it again.
I'm guessing that "E" error is for preventive measures in event that your yeetie gets stolen (Locked).
If that doesn't work, your best bet is to bring your car to the dealership, tell them what happened, and they should be able to unlock it for you

You have entered the radio code incorrectly too many times and the head unit is now locked.

You can either a) leave the key in the "ACC" position with the head unit ON for one hour and COdE will appear on the display allowing you to re-enter the code or b) disconnect the battery for a few moments (making sure all electronics inside the care are OFF first) and then trying to reconnect.

I believe Honda has gone to a web retrieval for unlock codes now. If you don't have the serial number to the unit then there is a modified 1 & 6 technique for units with navi (using different key combinations). I used to know it by heart (I worked on the Honda side for a while) but I have forgotten it. Acura Client Services can walk you through the retrieval process but there is a way electronically to get the number from the radio.

Otherwise, look in the glove box for a small white sticker with a long number on it. This will be the serial for the radio. With the serial you can call Acura Client Services and they should have the unlock code. The sticker may also be in the center bin.

Good luck and WRITE THE NUMBERS DOWN! ;)

Ok I got the code reset. I have no tape deck so how do I get my serial code without taking out the radio.

This worked quickly after i drained my battery , I disconnected the (-) Negative terminal for 2 mins then entered the code once , then back to normal instantly the Acura 2005 TL stereo was jamming hard again.

Help with radio code

Hi, I'm brand new to this forum. So, here's the problem.... My radio code doesn't work. I've called Acura and they gave me an additional code and that didn't work either. I know the radio works because if I hold 1 and 6 down and turn radio on them press 2, the radio works for about 3 minutes then it shuts off and prompts me to enter code. I've tried unplugging the antennae from the back of the radio's no luck. When I hold down the 1 and 6 and turn radio on it displays S/N NO CODE. Anyone have an idea on what else I can do? I Jane a 2007 Acura RDX. THANKS!

I have exactly the same problem as jenn Bryant, does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks!
