No power to Gauge/Dash, Power Windows, Blinkers/Signals, Sunroof & Windshield Wipers
No power to Gauge/Dash, Power Windows, Blinkers/Signals, Sunroof & Windshield Wipers.
Everything interior works. Car runs.
Tested Fuses both under the hood & dash. Only 1 fuse was blown.
Replaced Circuit 21- IG Meter -7.5amp Fuse. Turn ignition to ON & Started smelling some burnt somewhere.
I removed the cover around dash fuse & found that the hood latch wiring was crossed/wrapped with the amp wire (red) so the smell was from there. The amp wiring was connected to ground.
Don’t have an amp so I followed the wiring & removed it.
Replaced the fuse & Ignition to ON position & everything that didn’t work ALL lit up for a good 3-5 seconds and then went out.
I replaced the fuse again just to make sure and receive the same result.
I did not touch anything else. I don’t like working on electrical on these cars.
I even replaced the multi block fuse A. Still nothing.
I have the multi block fuse B - did not install new one yet.
Can any one of you tell me what I can do next? I know there is a short somewhere. Again I don’t like going in and touching things not needed to be touched.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hate to burst your bubble, but if you don't want to trace down the amp electricals yourself, you're going to have to have SOMEBODY else do it...

I did traced the amp electricals and I removed it. It was connected to ground - driver side - under the hood right before the headlights.
After I removed it- I replaced the fuse and it lit up for 3-5 seconds and then disappeared.
What’s the next step?

Was it fine before you removed the amp?
(Where it was grounded is irrelevant.)
So after you removed it, your problem started?
Something you did caused it.
It's a short, yes.
Look for burnt or pinched or crossed or bare wire(s.)
That means going in and touching things.
You, or somebody else, will have to physically find the short.
There's no miracle cure.

I found the gauge amp wire crossed/wrapped around the hood latch wire. That’s where the burnt was coming from.
After I removed gauge amp wire - no more burnt smell.
I replaced the fuse and everything lit up for 3-5 seconds. Then went/black out.
Before I removed the gauge amp wiring - I did replaced the fuse and it was blown as soon as I turn the ignition to ON position.
Where else can I look?
Please let me know thanks in advance.
