Navi - Does "Mem Clr" in Diagnostic mode clear/reset MORE than a battery-disconnect?

2004 TSX: When in Diagnostic mode, noticed the "Mem Clr" button (under Navi ECU).

Saw it's mentioned in the Service Manual with a clear warning: The "Mem Clr" button is for factory use and should not be used unless instructed by the factory. Touching this button will erase the customer's settings, personal information, GPS orbital data, and anything else stored in memory.

Since "disconnect battery for 30 min" is the traditional method to clear/reset Navigator, wondering if "Mem Clr" goes further/too far.

(Considering a reset because the clock setting is not working right. Clock time is correct standard time. Time field in Setup Screen 2 "Adjust Time Zone/Clock" is 0:00 rather than what's on the clock, and won't accept a user supplied offset (to bring to Daylight Savings time). Navi Diagnostics (Menu, Map/Guide, and Cancel buttons hold) appear to test OK, but the current "date" the detail screens list has the wrong month and 20 years back (in Sep 2001), time field here as well won't accept a user entered offset. Satellites appear to be in communication, displayed position is correct. AFAIK the 2004 system is old enough to be automated on the previous Apr-Oct, rather than current Mar-Nov, DST schedule. And, for now I presume it's NOT a Y2K (actually Y2.021K) type bug :-)

Not an update on the button function, but just providing a link (for those who wind up here after searching for clock problems) to a thread on the same Clock Failure of 200x era Navis after 2020. Sounds like a bug reminiscent of Y2K.

Too late to edit the post to add more information gleaned from additional research. By the mistaken date in the Navi being exactly 1024 weeks prior to the current date, this problem is almost certainly related to the GPS Week Number Rollover Bug (which last occurred in 1999). Suspect most would not notice if the date went wrong as long as the battery remained connected so that time was kept and DST did not become an issue to manually offset. Later GPS systems were updated to rollover every 157 years (instead of 20).

Some owners stated they work around by reconnecting the battery (after >30min) at exactly 1 o'clock to "start" the clock with the correct time. Others say they have removed the Navi and installed compatible-enough Navi units from newer model Hondas.
