The two small doors on my not an ashtray and the small storage bin are broken! One won't open and one won't close! I can see a small piece of white plastic on the esge that appears to be blocking the travel of both doors. Anyone else have any problems with these lids? They did feel somewhat cheap when I would use them before, but it's not like I opened and closed them every day! I guess I will just have to wait until I get service at the dealer and have them fix it up.

mine got caught and wouldn't open cause i had like a million pennies in the "not an ashtry" bin but then i fixed it.

Things cqn get stuck behind those doors, and it could be a PITA to remove. Good luck.

That being said, I'm moving this to Problems and Fixes.

Did you have the center console apart? I had those doors out while installing a Drive and Play. The trick is to push the quick snaps in straight. If you don't neither door works right. Crutchfield gave me step by step directions for removing and installing the center console, that helped. You'll know when you get it right as there is a big click and all of a sudden the doors work like new.

My mom's TSX's upper storage compartment lid wouldn't close as well, since I'm visiting, I want to get this fixed for her. I don't know how it happened. Do you have to take out the upper compartment to fix this lid?

^^ Mine did the same thing, the upper storage lid was stuck open, wouldn't budge at all. Took it to the dealer, they ordered parts for it, took it back a couple days later, they fixed it with the new part. Didn't pay attention which part they replaced because it was covered under warranty.

This is exactly what happened to me last week on my 08. There is a small plastic guide on the left side that is now exposed.

The dealer said it is due to a broken spring toward the back of the console that is unfixable, and ordered new parts. Covered under warranty.
