My 2005 TSX has the infamous dashboard rattle
along with the passenger door rattle
I just picked this car up a couple days ago. Should I wait a couple more days to see if I have any other problems or should I notify the dealer right away? I'm thinking right away but I just continue to take it in everytime something goes wrong. Although they'll probably be more helpful knowing I haven't giving my consumer rating to Acura yet.

Call the dealer and tell them.
Now I don't need to trade in my 04 for an 05....

I think I have a solution to the dashboard rattles!!!!
I'll explain.....it was driving me nutts obviously so I started poking around behind the headunit when I was working on my XM install and if you notice...there are ...I'm really not sure how to describe them...."spots" in which the headunit rests on some aluminum spots just behind the climate control area.
I drove the car around and shoved my finger in between one of the spots...just enough so they weren't touching and the rattling stopped.
So I went to Home Depot and got some rubber sink washers for .60 and shoved those in between the two aluminum "rest spots." Works like a charm. If anyone has anymore questions let me know...I wish I could explain it better, but...it's hard w/o showing you...maybe pics are in order

Well if the rattle goes away in the rain, the source can't be inside the car. My money is on the plastic rain gutter under the wipers inside the engine bay. Someone has to come up with a better name than that for the part but you know what i mean.

well its better than my old 2004 honda accord, try driving the usdm accord, that thing rattles all of the time... and it was much worse!!
It squeaked and rattled like it was a pig or a snake, every bump or imperfection in the road made me cringe. TSX's rattling problems isn't so bad.

would you mind posting a pict? mine sorta started making a noise in that area yesterday at 15k miles... aside from that, i just have the steering wheel rattle and thats it. so far ive heard solutions for that being an insulated spring, a loose screw, and most recently a loose airbag harness...
Also, I think what he means by the noises going away in the rain is that its noisier in the car from the rain, so you dont hear any rattles...

Confidence lever is not so high that this is getting fixed (although 2-3 other members are claiming victory on this).

I told him, screw that and to order the same parts for me, but supposely the clips are on backorder.
