Just got my first oil change on my 06, now how do I reset the Maintenance Minder?

I would have thought once the oil was changed, it would stop telling me I need to change my oil, but oddly enough it doesn't. I skimmed through the manual and couldn't find the answer. I'm almost wondering if they really did change my oil... Anyways, I was hoping someone might give me a quick answer. Thanks

I dont know anything about 06 guage but you could try to resetting it by disconnecting the battery (make sure to have your radio code). You can also try this....put your key in and turn it to II and press down the two knob on the guage for 10 sec and it should reset it.
good luck,

edit: I doubt it....Acura isn't small store on the conner. They aren't going to do stupid thing like to get into major trouble..

I'll try that advice, thanks for the reply. I still have a hard time believing that it doesnt automatically reset though. I mean it tells you when you need to change your oil supposedly but yet it doesn't know when and cant tell the difference when you have fresh clean new oil in there?? FWIW I had my oil changed at a local auto shop and not through Acura.

If you really think, they didnt change your oil then check your dip stick to see if oil is new or old. You should able to figure it out right away.

You shouldn't take your car to local shop to gett oil change. I heard of plent of nasty stories about how bad they are... I first recommend doing it yourself but dont got time for it then hit the acura or honda dealer to get it done. It only cost $29.95 with tax. Don't get fool by the price of local shop...

You shouldn’t have to disconnect the battery after every oil change. Disconnecting the battery every 3-5,000 miles might or might not cause problems with other electrical systems down the road.

You DEFINITELY don't need to disconnect your battery.
