Gear slippage--Personal video clip.

Copy and paste and download the video.
And Dan Martin, this is what I meant by my gears "slipping".
So, my manual transmission's been having a lot of problems lately, however is temperamental and inconsistent. Some days the shifting would be flawless, while some days it'll slip and grind like there's no tomorrow.
Anyways, download the video, it'll take around 5 minutes?

Wow... That's weird. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it.
Sorry but I have no idea what is causing it. I'd leave the car with your dealer for a while to get them to fix it. Something is very wrong with your transmission.

The service manager actually test drove my car on July 5th, but didn't notice ANY problems when he was driving, (that's when my car decided to be a good girl). So I'm planning to call him tomorrow and show him the video, but the funny thing is..I can't even drive this car with ease, or with the assurance of safety.
Anyways, I'll keep you guys updated.

Does your tranny graind or pop out only when it's cold? Does it repeat the same problems when the car is in operating temps? Cause for ALL the RSX-S's there is such a problem where gears pop out when it's cold and 2nd -3rd will grind!!!
Here's a few links if it helps
Here's a link from clubRSX where members have having a Tranny Petition
Another from clubRSX
3rd gear grinding...
And here's the bulletin for it
Acura Service Bulletins for Acura RSX Type-S
Good luck with your problem!!!

Thanks for the input though, it's unfortunate how many type-S are having problems.

Woooooooooah. That's got to get fixed fast.
Reminds me of my current Altima. The stick er... "comes to life" in third and fourth. We've nicknamed it "Willy." It never outright comes out of gear though.

how do I get this thing to work??
::edit::, lol, thought it'd open automatically.
Well I'm not the biggest expert on Mannys, so I can't offer any technical advise. You must still have the warranty, but has the dealer not believed you or something? Anyway this would make wonderul evidence, hell even show them in person. Any how, good luck .

I had this problem with my 3 Series tranny, it usually means that there's an internal problem with the transmission. My tranny started doing this and soon afterwards I found out that my gearbox had thrown a bearing which shot around the gearbox until it self destructed internally.
I'd get it looked at ASAP. Especially since you've had the gearbox opened by Acura.
In remote cases it sometimes can be a linkage problem....if you'd recently mucked around with the linkage lately (making it too short) can cause this to occur as well...

Yep, the fluid level's fine.
Anyways, I tried driving the TSX earlier today, and it wasn't any better. It actually got worse, but since I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow (starting on 2nd gear sucks), it'll be like new once it gets fixed, or once the transmission gets replaced.

That is the weirdest thing I have ever seen.....i'm scuuuurrrred! :'( LOL
Glad to hear that the dealer is going to look at it ASAP! This is definitely about the time you should look at the lemon law clause!
Keep us posted as to what the dealer says

I took it to the dealer early this morning, and spoke with the Service Manager.
First, I explained how the gear occasionally slips, grinds and pops, then proceeded with the video clip that's posted here on A-TSX.com. He awkwardly smiled and said "alright, take your keys to Beverly, and she'll write you up. We'll take a look at the car."
Then later, I heard him mumbling "God, this car's pain in the ass", hahahaha I don't know if he was referring to my car or if I misheard his mumbling, but whatever.
Keep my car in your prayers you TSX-iligioners.
