exterior paint
Last night I noticed a quarter of a dime sized paint chip on my front bumper. I don't park in the streets and I haven't hit nething. I only had my car for 2 weeks brand new. Is there something wrong with the paint on the TSX? Should I watch out for anything in particular if it's so sensitive? I just don't want my car looking like crap in a month..somebody please help!!
I heard of a layer of wax ppl put on their car to keep the original color of the car..is there such thing?

I had the exact same thing on the front edge of my hood. I know exactly where it happened too (flying rock). Acura paint is not the best. If you're really concerned about your front, get the clear bra treatment -- couple hundred $$ is totally worth the peace of mind.

The TSX paint is very brittle and it can chip instead of just denting with the impact. Some of us invested in a clear bra (like from 3M) to cover the front painted areas on the hood, front bumper, side mirrors, and for extra money fogs/headlights. Prices run about $400-$700 bucks with a 5 year warranty.
do a search on clear bra if you want to see pics.
