Exhaust leak where the B-pipe splits

Hi All,

My 07 TSX (87k miles) has developed a leak where the b-pipe splits for the two mufflers. Looks like the part and muffler will be around $500 and another $200 if I want to replace the other muffler. Has anyone tried JB Weld or something else to seal it?

Just wondering if there is something else I can try as the rest of the pipe is in decent shape.

Isn't the metal thin enough where it won't actually work? That is what I have heard in the past. Also this is at the exact wedge where the split is...my uncle has a welding machine I just don't know if it'll make things worse.
