Electrical issues
 

so early today the *check charging system* light came on in the 2007 AT acura tsx, lasted like 5min and went away, then i was driving tonight and it came on again, along with the passengers air bag light, and the e-brake light then the whole dash lit up with every light, and the radio stopped giving audio. basicly the electrical stuff started going crazy. ideas on what is going on

Alternator is not charging battery and voltage is dropping until multiple systems fail. Remove/test alternator. Likely needs to be replaced.

Yep, definitely sounds like the alternator. You have my sympathies... same thing happened to me not long ago and it was expensive

Agree that your alternator is failing. How many miles on your 07? This happened to my 04 at about 200k about two years ago. Try not to drive your car as you will completely run down the battery and that will lead to premature battery failure as well (more $$$).

i have 118k miles on it, i tested voltage and it was running under load at 8volts, so replaced it with a denso unit and runs at high 13volts now and everything is back to normal, or so i though....

now the engine bogs down and shakes really bad when the ac compressor is engaged, so if i turn off the ac it dosnt do it, and it didnt do this until after i replaced the alternator, or at least i never noticed it, also its not throwing any codes

Now it sounds like a bad ground issue. Check all your ground cables for failure/corrosion/etc.

Just to give as much information as possible. I replaced the spark plugs about 600 miles ago. Then the alternator stopped, I replaced it, the drive to the gym after the repair I noticed it bog down about 500rpm on idle at a red light about 15 miles later, drove home with the ac turned off, then cranked it this morning with full ac and it's not doing it anymore. I'm about to drive to the gym again and I'll update on if the problem happens after a drive

update: drove about 40 miles total today, didn't have the issue, no idea what it was

Your battery was dead or almost dead so between running the ignition system and charging the dead battery there wasn't enough electricity to power all the systems at once so the car was bogging down. That's why it was running shity. Once the battery was adequately charge the car ran normal again.

Also, after disconnecting everything, your ECU has to "re-learn" the parameters needed to keep the engine running at peak performance.

ahhhh yea that makes sense. Does anyone know where I could get money for my Denso alternator because I bought the new one off of Amazon so there was no core charge

You can check ebay, but I'm guessing the market for a non-working alternator is pretty small, hence price very low. Shipping charges will likely exceed value making sale difficult to impossible. You can drop off at AZ, et all and they will recycle.
