Dog scratches

This seems sacreligious at this point, but I need to let my dog ride with me in my new TSX. He has not been in it yet (or near it for that matter) and I don't know if his claws will scratch the window sills. Does anyone know if a dog's claws will scratch the window sills?

I found a mat insert that will protect the seat from his claws, but I haven't found anything that will protect the window sills.

Any help?

Steve

My dog rides in the passenger footwell when he's in my car so he doesn't have a chance to scratch anything. Of course he's a little guy.

I got a small towel and it covers the passanger seat, then my dog can ride without damaging the leather, as for the windows, sorry...

Yeah, they will scratch the sills, the dashboard and just about any of the hard plastic. I luckily got the winter mats too because my dog decided to

The bigger issue is the I'm always cleaning that up.

A funny one is my 10 mth old son. Since he is in a rear facing seat... sneezing takes on an artistic format on the rear seats.

Time for one of those seat covers you can buy at a Kragen.

I have 2 dogs... TWO!!!!!!! What I do is I use a HUGE blanket which we don't use and which the dogs love... we put them at the back seat if we are going for looooong rides (like to the vet which we trust sooooo much and which is 1 hr drive away from where we live). Other than this, if we are going for very short ride like 2 minutes ride, then they are on the floor mat on the front passenger side. They are very small dogs... Pug and Shiz Tsu... so not a big deal for them... As a matter of fact, they look so cute in that small place looking up to us like saying, 'Are we there yet????'...
