DeLorean had it right

DeLorean had it right
I can't believe how fast my car's paint has been dinged up.
1. rock chip on hood
2. 2 clearcoat scratches on hood and on pass door.
3. dropped broom handle on rear ... scuffed & scratched.
4. And just today...some SUV must have had touble parking his gas guzzling monster...scratched paint on my rear bumper.
Man if I had a stainless steel car I would give a crap!!!

i feel your pain...i drive on the toll roads in orange county everyday to work and i understand there is more loose gravel and rocks that can cause hood chips, but this is unacceptable. my hood, bumper and quarter panels look like i have been driving the car for 10 years. I've only been driving this car on the toll roads for about 10 months and already my paint has about 50% more chips than my previous Lexus which drove the toll roads for about 5 years...

It happens. My right rear fender was dinged upon 2 months of ownersihp. I also ran over something at night that put light hairline scratches into my front bumper on the corner. The paint is all there but the clearcoat was scratched. There really isn't any way to avoid this stuff if this is your Daily driver.

This is NYC and we have parallel parking on pretty much all city streets. You have so many people who exercise the bump & go method of p.parking that you will get your bumpers scratched...its a guaranteed fact.
To top it off...I just washed the car in the morning and was admiring it. Then I get nicked by this SUV...it was an old jeep before they started calling it an SUV.
Sorry just venting.
