I've noticed the airbag outline for a while now on the dashboard, but other than that, I didn't see anything wrong from the driver's side.

However, while cleaning the inside of my car (I usually do it in the evening, but this time I did it while the sun was out), I noticed something as I sat in the passenger's seat (I never have passengers):

Upon closer inspection, I can see that there's a slit/crack now:

I used to protect the dashboard with armor all, but the last time I cleaned my interior, I switched to that 303 protectant that everyone raves about.

Is this a warranty issue? Will they replace the dashboard, or will they just tape it up? And if they do tape it up, will it interfere with the air bag?

I tried searching for this on both forums...the closest thread is just a RDX thread where they started to notice the outline...

It doesn't bother me since I can't see it from the driver's seat, but I don't want any future passengers to think I drive a cheap car...

My car has never needed warranty (the only rattles disappeared on their own a long time ago). This being my 6th thread ever created, I guess I've been lucky.

See your local dealer - that crack is only going to get worse.

I agree 100%. Warrenty should cover it. Obviously a defect of some kind and it will get much worse if you don't take care of it.
