some more problems hehe. I was driving and suddenly heard this scraping noise. I stopped my car, looked under it and this piece of rusted metal was dangling off somewhere near the drive shaft. what the heck is it? should i get a new one and replace it?

it's a heat shield over the cat. you can replace it if you want. it's purpose is to prevent fire if you're parking in tall grassy area becuase the cat gets very hot and can start a fire with said tall grass/vegetation and anything combustable.

nubby:

Three questions:

1) What year is your TSX?

2) How many miles does it have?

3) Are you the original owner or did you buy it used?

in terms of mileage, she's young!!!!!
what part of the country do you live? the weather and street conditions might have caused it to rust off like that.
