i've been having the squeaking noise from the windshield as well....
but yesterday when i was driving home, it was raining... and i noticed that the noise was gone...
not sure what effect the rain had on it.. but the noise was completely gone... beginning to think that maybe its the wipers that are making the noise???.. is that possible...??
it was nice driving without that stupid noise over every single bump.. haha..

It has something to do with temprature / moisture / humidity. I think that is why this is popping (no pun intended) back up again. i can hardly notice the crackling when it is humid or wet, but now that it is colder and drier it drives me insane.

The rain does stop the noise. This is why the dealer though it was a molding issue.

Hard to say. The put silicone in the window seals and it seemed to get better. I do still get the occasional creak, but not as bad and often. I think the noise will come back in full force soon though (as the silicone wears off).

thre was another short thread on this that i replied to but the moderator directed me here.
i have the same problem and i used to think it was a windshield/dashboard problem. but now i'm convinced its' an A-pillar problem. While driving, try leaning forward over your steering wheel while going over the bumps. If your case is like mine you'd hear the clicking from the pillar.
i could really be wrong since sound is so terribly deceptive. stil give it a try and lemme know if ya'll find anything. i've had one dealer try to reproduce this twice and they haven't been able to. but that's cause the day i schedule my appointment always ends up nice and sunny. how very irritating. i'll try again in december to scehdule it with another dealer and see what their mechanics say.
.....hmmm y'know after thinking about it, maybe ti's the part of the windshield that runs along the pillar that is clicking. damn. now i'm not sure again.

Mine is coming from the windshield and it started up bad again today. I give up for now on it.

Mine also sounded like it was possibly the dash rubbing against the windshield, try doing what i mentioned a few lines up and see if the noise is still there.
It has been a week since i shimed that piece under the hood and haven't heard the noise since.

Soooo relieved to hear others experiencing the same windscreen creaking! Mine has done it since Day Two... and yes, only when cold. Has anyone had their's successfully fixed by their dealer?

I've got the windshield creak too. Started about 2 weeks after I bought it, as soon as the weather turned cool (below 55 degrees). Doesn't happen when it rains. At first I thought it was the dashboard creaking, then as it got colder it got worse and I realized it was the windshield. I've seen people mention both the A-pillar and the plastic molding across the bottom of the windshield as possible causes so I tried an experiment this week.
I waited for a cool, dry morning and sure enough it started creaking right away. I pulled over and poured about half a gallon of water across the bottom of the windshield where it meets the black plastic molding. I started driving and within 30 seconds the creak was gone, so I think my creaking is caused by that plastic molding, or something beneath it, rubbing against the windshield. Maybe this experiment would help some of you pinpoint your problem too. I haven't brought it to the dealer yet. I'm hoping there is an easy way for me to take care of it since it sounds like the dealers aren't having much luck.
03jeff, I'd love to see a picture of where you put that shim. I've got a feeling it would solve my problem, but I'm not sure what you mean by strut tower in your description.

AT first I though the noise was coming from the top of the windshield, but today it sounded like it was coming from the bottom, so you may have somehting there. Thanks for the tests.

I have the same problem. If you could post a pic of the shim location it would be great. I just did the same thing for my tranny squeaking and it worked alot better than the dealer "fix." The rattles in this car drive my crazy!

I tried 03jeff's shim solution last night. I wedged a small piece of cardboard (about 1/4 inch thick) on the passenger and drivers side. This morning was 45 degrees and dry. Perfect weather for the windshield creak, but it didn't creak!
I'm going to keep my ear on this and will let you know next week if it is still working. When I'm due for service I'll tell the dealer what I've learned and maybe they can come up with a more elegant solution, but for now I'm happy. It seems like some type of grease or silicone lubricant underneath the black plastic molding is needed.

Ok 03jeff, you have my attention now. The noise is bad, real bad. I am going to PM you my e-mail address. Can you send me the pictures of the cardboard areas and I will host and post.
Thanks!

o3jeff's Solution with Pics
Here are the pics from o3jeff. I am going to try it tonight. Thanks o3jeff!!!!
Wedge something in were I am pointing to(if you pull on it, you will notice it moves up and down), should solve the noise problem.

Is this sound definately a creaking sound? I have a sound either coming from the bottom passenger side of my window or the moonroof. The best way I can explain what it sounds like is when water starts to run through base board heaters. You get that kind of trickling sound. I originally thought I had a leak somewhere but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The best I can describe it is as hail hitting the windshield. It's a sound illusion, sometimes it sounds like it's coming from the bottom of the windshield, sometimes the top.

I'm the Firestarter
A couple of days ago my nighbor told me he could have sworn the windsheild was loose on his TSX. He said he though he heard a noise coming from it, so he pressed down on it and then the noise went away. He said he's going to check it with the dealer.

If you have this noise problem, you would know for sure. It is very loud and very often. It's driving me nuts...

wsklar, where in NJ are you from? Perhaps we can both goto the same dealer and address the problem.
Anyways, I tried putting someting underneath like o3jeff described, but the sounds still there

Mine started cracklin' again. For a long time, the sound was gone. This time I noticed some similarities in the weather - around 50 degree F, sunny day, and just washed the car the day before, which was about the same weather as when it did this before. On the drive home, with the temp around 60 deg and overcast, there was little to no sound. Anyone else note the weather conditions when you hear the crackle, rattle or whatever you want to call it?

Yes, weather related for sure.
50 degrees and lower and dry = noise
Rain or over 50 = no noise
I wedged a lot of plastic in my trunk tonight so I will see tomorrow....
