I installed my 04/05 JDM lights about a year ago and have had some fogging. It was the worst initially, so I took out the highbeam bulb and let the housing dry out a bit, and then I put the bulb back making sure to really get the seal tight. That seemed to have fixed it, because since then I've only seen a couple of really small condensation patches in that one (driver side) light. As long as it doesn't happen more frequently or grow larger I'm not going to worry about it.

Our hood pushes down on our headlights so after driving for awhile or vibration from the engine.

You can see the headlights begin to open up. So find yourself some atv gasket sealant, and get a flat head screwdriver.

A hair dryer, dry out all the water and condensation, then use the flat head screqdriver and carefully pry a bit to add new sealant, and you will be condensation free.

When you put in the new sealant, did you wait for it to dry? Did you clamp it down any to make sure the seal was ok? Or did you just put it back together and let it go?

I will be taking out my headlights this weekend and doing the dry/reseal and hopefully that works. My CL9 is out of warranty and it's like $700 USD to replace each JDM headlight (they need to rush order from Japan), and no guarantee they will give me new stock, and might just give me old stock with the same problem.

I have the same problem and took the car into the dealership and they installed some clips on the headlight to hold them together tighter. From what they told me this is suppose to solve the problem, have to wait a few days to see if the fog goes away now that they are sealed.

Is it a factory recall? If yes, does it mean it should be fixed for free regardless of whether or not my car is still under warranty? BTW, I never got that letter from Acura.

Another question is the passenger side HID of my 04'TSX flickers and shuts off. Could the condensation thing cause this problem?

The passenger side headlight assembly (including the HID unit) was replaced by a body shop after a car accident and I believe the whole body work is still under warranty. Should I contact the body shop or the dealership to get it fixed for free?

TIA!
