I have noticed a distinct clicking noise when making abrupt starts/stops coming from the "Not an Ashtray" area. When I push the red felt it does make a clicking noise. Anybody else experience the same issue? If so, can anybody help me out in fixing it???

 

I have the same problem had posted about it earlier here looking for answers with no replies.

I had to take the dealer's tech out for a ride before they acknowledged the noise. The tech said he will take the center console out and try to fix the problem. I am leaving my car with them on Monday will post the findings.

The tech told me later that he had noticed the same noise in other TSX's as well.
It woud be good to know if others have the same noise. Perhaps this is another TSB item.

 

The noise is from the shift lock. The dealer's tech showed me the little white plastic that rocks back and forth - he said he did not have fix. I had loaner TSX today it did not make that noise. I guess I will have to live with it.

 

So this only effects AT?
