bulb failure or what?

Hello fellows.

I have a very simple issue. The button on the driver's door which locks/unlocks the passenger's window and the rear windows does not light. All other buttons on the door seems to shine, but not this one, no matter if it is pressed or not. Could you please tell me, is this by design or my bulb should be replaced. If this is the case, could you please explain me what bulb type is this and how can I change it?

Thank you!

I forgot to mention: Honda Accord Euro 2005 5MT

Not by design and it does sound like a bulb has gone out. They are fairly easy to replace, but highly recommend if you get the dealer to replace it if you don't have skills to remove body panels and plastics. That whole module, window buttons and all, come out as one and then you have to remove the bulbs from that larger module. Some are on circuit boards if I remember correctly and some are just plugged in with color filters on them. It has been a while, so I forget.

Finally this weekend I found some time to take care of this problem by myself. I did not go to the dealer yet because I have a feeling that they will want to change the whole thing in the door just to steal more money from me. Anyway...
I partly disassemble the panel, but could not take it apart completely and I could not find or access the broken bulb. Can someone give me information how can I change this bulb? Any pictures will be very useful. I am still not sure that this button actually lights.

The pass. window lock out button on my '04 is not (and has never been) backlit. The ETM does not show a light in that part of the switch either. The one's for actual window up/down switches, the PDL switch and mirror control are LED's according to the ETM.

Thanks poltergeist! I feel better now. Very strange decision to not put a led/bulb in this button though.
