Another rattle Fix! - Underbody rattle = Sideskirts!

I got my new 2005 TSX 6mt/NAV last week and there has been this annoying rattling noise coming from the underbody of the car since day one. It's sometimes apparent at lower speeds but it's constant once you hit 75 - 80 MPH... It sounds like little pebbles showering the bottom of the car on both sides... it's easy to hear with the radio off. I took it in today and after being told that I could not drive over 65 (speed limit) with the techs the service manager asked if I could hear it at lower speeds, I was pissed and said yes... but questioned why when I made the appointment and CLEARLY stated that the noise was at 75 mph and was told come in and take a test drive with a tech and we'll look at it that no one said anything about not being able to go over 65!

Anyways the tech and I went out and he heard a little something around 65, I asked if I could go faster and he said his boss made a big deal out of it but he didn't care... I hit 75 and he was like "damn, that sucks... I definitely hear it"... on the way back he kinda heard it at 40 mph too...

Long story short, after 3 hours it turns out that the side-skirts (I have the full underbody spoiler kit) have metal clips and mounts... apparently there's a bit of a gap and some play between the mount and the body and they were rattling.. he put some foam padding/tape on both sides and presto! No more rattles!!

I also had them add the sealer and they adjusted the moonroof glass because I'd occasionally get that rattle too...

Now to bungee down my trunk tray to get rid of the thump when going over bumps...

I have had that rattle before and ending up fixing it myself. I would only get it while I was going 80+ mph though. I ending up going to Michaels, buying some foam sheets for 99 cents and just putting small pieces between the body and underskirt. It was a very good feeling when I finally found and got rid of that rattle!

Is it the metal sprung nut that on the front of the skirt that causing the rattle?

For me it was the plastic clips actually. After they were removed a couple of times, one or two of the clips would not sit completely flush against the side skirt. I put the foam on all of them. I would get rubber like slobeatz got though.
