Acura's policy on HVAC module replacement
I just came from the dealer. Acura's policy is to provide a rental or loaner for ANYONE who is having this repair done. None of the dealers in this area have loaner cars so Acura rented a vehicle for me from Enterprise. I was also told that Acura is expecting the HVAC module to fail on on ALL 2004 TSX'es (I don't know why). Dealers will replace the module with no questions ask and provide you with an alternative transportation for the day. In addition, if you call the dealer ahead of time and give your VIN, they should be able to order the parts ahead of time. You can give then the TSB number (listed in a sticky above). Otherwise, it can take several days for the module to arrive.
I just got back from Acura of Sierra in Alhambra. They had a line of about 10 TSX'es waiting to get the fix.
One final comment: Most of the dealers out here don't have much in the way of loaner cars, so they simpy arrange for you to get one from the local Enterprise. When you show up at Enterprise, they will offer you a vehicle upgrade for extra $. If you get to Enterprise after 9:00 in the morning, they will already have run out of econoboxes. So, if you turn down the upgrade, they'll wind up giving you a much nicer vehicle anyway, at no extra charge. For example, I got a Mustang Convertable for the day.

If this is true Acura should inform us to have the HVAC module replaced and can we request to have the HVAC module replaced/upgraded even if we are not currently experiencing any problems?

I got a recall letter the other day for something having to do with the trunk harness. They're fixing that even as I write.
the HVAC module refers to the part of your dashboard that controls the AC and heating controls. There is a know problem with the TSX where the lights on those controls go dim. See TSB posted in sticky above.
