Hi, I am a new member and I just bought my TSX 2006 in Deep Green Pearl (color code G516P). I want to purchase some touch up paint and maybe primer and clearcoat. But it seems that Acura parts are much harder to obtain online than Honda parts.

My first question: Can I order G516P paint for Honda to use on my Acura? Is the color exactly the same? The part code for Acura paint is 08703-G516PAA-PN and for Honda is 08703-G516PAH-PN.

Second question: What primer and clearcoat should I buy? Some parts of the clearcoat in my front bumper is peeling, so I may get the clearcoat in a spray can. I also learnt that G516P means Deep Green Pearl Metallic Clearcoat, does that mean I need to buy metallic clearcoat?

Yes. I had a carbon grey 2004 Honda and have a 2006 TSX. Same paint.

How bad is your paint job? The touch up paint is for just that - touch-ups - not a full paint job. I would not recommend using it for anything more than small scratches.

the touch up paint is a bit off since you won't be using it for anything bigger than a scratch

It sounds like you need more than touch-up paint. Some auto paint shops will mix up the paint you need in a rattlecan. You could get clear the same way. Call around to auto paint supply stores.
