55 watt low beam versus 35 watt

Can I simply buy a 55 watt D2S bulb and plug it up without issue? One of mine turned pink so I assume it's time to replace the set. I just flipped 155k miles tonight so they have been very reliable bulbs.

Thanks for your input.

I'm gonna say there's going to be an issue. Our Control Unit Assay (ballast) runs at 35W. Some if not the majority will say to replace both bulbs at the same time; to ensure color uniformity and output. You can get a pair of OEM bulbs online; found Philips 4300K D2S bulbs made in Germany for $72.16. Acura Dealer would easily charge you 2x as much for only 1 bulb!

I bought a set of Philips bulbs off Ebay for $60 shipped! Brand new!

Just in case someone reading this does not know, changing the bulbs is not for the faint of heart. Unless I missed totally how to get to the bulbs from in the engine bay you have to remove the front bumper clip and remove the entire assembly. I took pictures and plan to make a DIY out of it. It took me about 3 hours to change the bulbs.
